Michael Trachtenberg, 83; Holocaust Survivor, Korean War Veteran; beloved husband for 52 years of Lorraine nee Elboom; loving father of Mark (Sharyn) Trachtenberg and Phyllis (Alan) Chapnick; proud and adoring Zayde of Mitchell and Jackie Trachtenberg, Joshua and Jessica Chapnick; dear son of the late Mindel and Boris Trachtenberg. He was a devoted family man, deli-man, volunteer, opinionated, wise and hard worker and had many wonderful qualities. Chapel service Friday, 10:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
